Some politicians and national governments maintain their official blogs as well. Israel was the first nation to set up an official blog of the national government.   • Character blogging: A Character blog is written as if a popular character is writing the blog. These are mainly used by TV show producers so as to promote their shows. Character blogs of famous characters such as Jar Jar, Super-Man and other characters from movies and TV serials are quite popular. Such blogs have faced criticism as well, mainly due to the fact that these characters aren't real. They find gulping down this idea of reading a blog written by an unreal person absurd.
